These are Sparco side cushions for fixed-back bucket seats with extended backrest wings. Part number SS1022.

The purpose is simple: a driver who is narrower than the shell they are sitting in will move slightly under lateral load, which is uncomfortable and affects consistency through long runs. These cushions fit into the sides of the backrest between the shell and the driver’s torso, taking up the space and keeping you held in position. Fabric construction, available in black, blue, or red.

They sit in place held by the harness and the seat trim. No fixings, no drilling required.

This is not the same as a full seat insert. They are a targeted solution for one specific situation: a correctly mounted seat that is slightly wide for the person in it. If the seat is actually the wrong size and the driver is moving around noticeably in corners, cushions will help but a narrower shell would be the more honest answer.

Sparco produce in batches and we receive Sparco products on a weekly basis, so the popular seats, harnesses and accessories are usually available for quick dispatch.

Less common models and colours are ordered in for you and take longer.

Tell us when you order and we will confirm the lead time up front rather than after the event. If it is on the shelf we will say so, and if it is coming in on the next delivery we will tell you when that is.
