The Schroth iNDi 70 Litre kit at part R/PINDI-0070 makes a seat that fits one specific driver in one specific car. The concept is a casting bag filled with small impact-absorbing beads and a slow-cure resin. The driver gets into the car, the bag goes behind them in the seat aperture, a vacuum is drawn through the bag’s valve, and the beads and resin lock into the shape of the driver’s back and sides while they sit in their natural driving position. When the resin has cured, the bag has become a rigid insert that holds the driver in exactly the position they settled into during the moulding process.
The 70-litre designation refers to the volume of the bag. It suits larger drivers or cars with a wider cockpit aperture. The 30-litre version at R/PINDI-0030 is at the other end of the scale, and the 50-litre at R/PINDI-0050 sits in between. The right size depends on both the driver’s build and the available space in the cockpit: a bag that is too small will not fill the seat opening adequately, and one that is too large cannot be compressed to fit. If you are unsure which size to order, measure the width and depth of your seat opening before buying.
The result is a seat tailored to a single driver in a way that no off-the-shelf GRP or carbon bucket can match. Driver turnover in a car (for example in a shared race or a team car with multiple drivers) makes the iNDi impractical, since each driver would need their own bag. For a single driver in a fixed seat position, whether in a hillclimb special, a sprint car or a dedicated track day machine, the iNDi removes any remaining gap between driver and seat and keeps the driver in the same position lap after lap without lateral movement or settling.
The Profi Seat Kit at part 77500A uses the same vacuum-casting technology with a 30-minute cure resin, offered in a full range of sizes from 25 to 70 litres, and is the Schroth listing for the complete kit across all volumes.
