This Recaro sub-frame (part number 687519) fits all models of the Skoda Fabia, including the Combi and facelift variants. It covers both chassis codes: Type 6Y (first generation, 2000 to 2007) and Type 5J (second generation, 2007 to 2014). The frame bolts to the Fabia’s OEM floor mounts with no modification to the car.

A 20 mm spacer bracket is available as an additional option to raise the seating position if you need a higher driving position in the car. This is listed as a variation in the product options and priced separately. It is worth considering if you are fitting a Recaro base-mountable seat that sits noticeably lower than the OEM position and want to recover some of that height.

The Fabia is the base of some capable small competition cars, particularly in the VW-Audi group’s shared platform period. The Fabia vRS with its 1.4 TSI twin-charger engine and the rally-prepared Fabia R2 and R5 are the most recognisable examples, and the sub-frame makes a proper Recaro installation straightforward in both road and light competition versions.

Additional seat belt brackets: Each seat frame can be used for a variety of applications including road car reclining seats throuh to Motorsport FIA seats. Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Recaro frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Is this for the driver or passenger side?
Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.

Recaro seats are produced in batches for the UK market

We receive Recaro deliveries regularly and hold good stock of the popular models, so many go out quickly.

Demand for the bucket seats is worldwide and production runs to Recaro’s own schedule, so the less common models and trims can take considerably longer. Ask us and we will tell you where a specific seat stands.

Before you order

If you need a seat for a date, ring us first. We would rather give you an honest lead time up front than have you waiting on a seat that is between production runs.
