The Recaro Podium GF follows the same design as the Podium CF, however, this model was designed with a glass fibre-reinforced polymer shell, rather than carbon fibre, providing a cost-effective option whilst remaining lightweight. Recaro has invested lots of time into the research and development of this bucket seat, ensuring that the driver’s overall comfort and experience are maximised. What makes this bucket seat special is that the Recaro Podium GF has the seal of approval from the German campaign for healthier backs, meaning this seat has been checked, tested, and approved to ensure that this seat will provide excellent comfort. The seat features body-hugging contours with firm seat pads, and deep side bolsters, which give high levels of lateral support and reduce fatigue.
The Recaro Podium GF complies with the FIA 8855-1999 approval for motorsport, but also has the ABE approval, meaning this seat can be used for any motorsport purposes, and is also legal for road use, making this seat perfect for all drivers. Premium quality materials were chosen for the removable seat pads and are available with the options of Perlon Velour or Alcantara with leather surround. Recaro has specially designed the pads to provide a contoured fit to the body, with the recesses between the pads being used to regulate body temperature and reduce perspiration. Two pad thicknesses are available giving the seat 2 size options, either medium or large.
As this seat is made for the road, track, and motorsport it is suitable for all standard belt systems for road and track: 3-, 4-, 5- or 6-point belts. To guarantee optimum safety, the Podium can be enhanced with harnesses from Schroth.
