What a Mk6 owner is usually after
Most Mk6 seat swaps are on GTI and R cars, and the standard seats in those are decent. So the reason is rarely comfort. It is either harness compatibility, or getting the hip point down in a car that sits you higher than a track driver wants.
If neither applies, the factory seat is hard to beat for road use and we will tell you so.
Recaro stays an option
The plates carry multi-hole clusters at each corner, giving two bolt patterns rather than one: 345mm by 271mm for Sparco, OMP and Corbeau base mount seats, and 405mm by 290mm for Recaro.
That matters on this car, where a lot of owners want to stay with the brand the factory used. A Sparco frame will not take a Recaro.
