The OMP One 2 inch Versa Endurance, a six point harness for long races. Part number DA0-0202-A05.

Endurance in a harness name is about adjustment. In a car shared between two or three drivers the belts get loosened and retightened at every stop, and a harness with a wide adjustment range and hardware that works quickly saves real time where seconds are being counted.

Specification

FIA 8853-2016, six point, two inch shoulder and lap straps, aircraft style buckle, clip in fittings. Black or red webbing.

Two inch is the width designed to work with a head and neck restraint, which is the reason to choose it over a wider belt if you run a HANS.

One thing to confirm

Our listing marks this belt head restraint friendly rather than head restraint specific. If your class requires an FHR specific belt rather than merely a compatible one, tell us and we will confirm the tagging on current stock with OMP before you order. On a two inch belt the distinction is usually academic, but if it is written into your regulations it is worth settling.

Fitting

Get the anchor points sorted first. Shoulder straps must run level or slightly downward from your shoulders to the bar and never upward.

How long does an FIA harness last?

Does it work with a HANS device?
Yes: only 6-point FIA harnesses work with a HANS device, and this belt qualifies. If you run a device, check whether you want the HANS-specific shoulder cut and ask us which suits your setup.

What does it mount to?
A harness needs proper anchor points: a harness bar, cage, or the car’s designed mounting points, plus a seat with the right slots. Tell us the car and seat and we will confirm the mounting plan before you order.

Availability

OMP deliveries arrive every two weeks

OMP produce in batches and we receive their products on a fortnightly basis, so their most popular seats, harnesses and equipment are generally available for quick dispatch.

Reclining sport seats and less common trims are brought in to order, so those take longer.
