The Porsche 964 ran from 1989 to 1994 as the seventh major revision of the 911 body and was the last air-cooled 911 to use the 3.6-litre naturally aspirated engine in its base Carrera form. The Turbo, Carrera RS, and RS America variants have developed into serious track day and motorsport cars, and even the standard Carrera 2 and Carrera 4 are regularly seen in club events because the core chassis still rewards a driver who can use it. Fitting a bucket seat to a 964 is a considered decision rather than a routine upgrade: the cockpit is a known quantity and the OEM seat position works well for most people, but competitors who run the car in anger generally want the additional lateral support that a proper bucket provides.
This Corbeau sub-frame is built around the 964’s floor fixing layout. The 964 carries the engine behind the rear axle, which affects the weight distribution and the floor geometry compared to front-engined cars of the same period. The sub-frame uses the car’s original fixing points, and the exact kit configuration, whether a complete replacement frame with sliding runner or an adaptation bracket arrangement, depends on what Corbeau have developed for this specific floor.
For base-mounted and reclining sport seats only. Side-mounted FIA competition seats require different hardware. Priced at £245 exc. VAT per seat position. Order twice if fitting both seats. Note the Corbeau seat model in the checkout comments and we will confirm the combination is correct before the order goes.
