The Peugeot 205 is the reference point for French hot hatches of the 1980s and early 1990s. The 205 GTi 1.6 and GTi 1.9 defined the genre, and the 205 T16 is one of the most significant rally cars of the Group B era. Club racers and rally competitors have been running 205s in class-based events since the mid-1980s, and the car’s strong motorsport community means parts and knowledge are unusually available for its age. The floor architecture in a 205 is tight: the car is narrow, the transmission tunnel intrudes, and getting the seat height right is essential because headroom is limited in a roll-caged 205.
This Corbeau sub-frame is designed around the 205’s floor fixing positions. The kit uses the original bolt points to position the Corbeau seat without drilling into the floor. Given the 205’s narrow body, the sub-frame’s accuracy matters more than in a larger car: a seat mounted even slightly too high significantly affects the driver’s contact with the roof. The configuration may be a complete replacement frame with sliding runner or adaptation brackets depending on the specific kit for the 205 floor.
