The Ford Fiesta Mk3, produced from 1989 to 1994 under the GFJ and BFJ body codes, is one of the most common bases for historic rally and tarmac sprint builds. It ran the 1.6-litre RS Turbo engine in its fastest form, though the XR2i and Si variants are more commonly seen in club events because they are cheaper to source and run. The Mk3 Fiesta body has a relatively flat floor and a transmission tunnel that intrudes more than it looks, which is why seat position tends to be something owners fiddle with for several events before they settle it.
This Corbeau sub-frame is built around the Mk3 Fiesta’s own floor fixing positions. The kit avoids any drilling by using the factory bolt points, and the result places the Corbeau seat at the correct height for that floor geometry. Depending on the specific configuration Corbeau have developed for the Mk3 floor, the kit may be a complete replacement frame with a sliding runner or an adaptation bracket set working off the existing floor mounts.
