The Cobra Roadster 7 Sport, a narrow fit bucket seat for seven style cars. Part number COBROAD7S.

The same narrow fit, upgraded

Same shell and same concept as the standard Roadster 7, shaped to use the angle of the rear bulkhead so that the recovered space goes into legroom. The Sport is the upgraded specification of that seat.

So if the standard Roadster 7 fits your car, this one does too. The decision is about finish rather than fit.

The measurements

750mm high, 460mm across the shoulders, 720mm front to back, on a 400mm base, at 7kg.

The 400mm base is what gets it in. Standard sports seats sit in the 500mm to 560mm range at the base and foul the transmission tunnel or the sill top rails in a seven style car. Measure yours at floor level before ordering.

Which cars

Caterham, Westfield, Lotus 7 and the kit cars built to the same pattern all share the narrow cockpit and the close bulkhead. We list several of them separately so you can find the seat under your own car.

Harness holes are an extra cost option and cannot be added once the seat is trimmed.

Road and Track approved rather than FIA homologated. Base mount. Seat only.

Cobra seats are handcrafted in the UK. Each seat and product is lovingly created. On average, this takes around 4-6 weeks. (product specification depending) When ordering Cobra seats, you know you are getting a high-quality British product made to your specification.

Will I fit in this seat?

What do I need to fit it to my car?
The car-specific frame for your vehicle, plus a sliding runner if you want fore-and-aft adjustment. Our guide on base mount versus side mount walks through the whole stack, and tell us your car and we will quote the full kit.

How do I know it will feel right, not just fit on paper?
Makers publish widths and weights, never feel, and two seats with identical numbers can feel nothing alike. We keep the ranges on display in the showroom, you are welcome to come and sit in them, and our head support measurements guide shows the kind of real-world data we collect.
