Premium is the trim, and the brackets are the fitting

Two things worth separating. The Premium Edition adds a contrasting colour band across the vinyl, in blue, grey, red, yellow or orange. That is the whole difference from the Monaco Pro version; the shell, the steel plating, the FIA approval and the fit are identical.

And the Land Rover 90 part of the name is the brackets, not the seat. This is the standard Monaco supplied with the fitting for a 90.

So you are paying for appearance rather than specification, and we would rather say that plainly. Plenty of people want it, particularly on a vehicle being built to a colour scheme.

The seat

FIA 8855-1999 homologated. Fully steel plated with a solid back and base for intrusion protection, integral head pad and shoulder support. 11.4kg. Base mounted or side mounted. Slots for a 4 or 6 point harness.

Vinyl, so it wipes clean, which is the sensible covering in a vehicle used in weather or workwear.

Fixed back with no recline. On a 90 used for long journeys, weigh that before committing; the reclining seats in the Cobra range are the alternative.

Drivers under 6ft, 32 to 36 inch waist. Hand trimmed in the UK. Tell us the year for the brackets.

What do I need to fit it to my car?

Cobra seats are handcrafted in the UK

Each seat is built to the specification you choose, which is why the wait is what it is: on average around 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the trim and options.

Cobra do not allow queue jumping. Orders are produced in the order they are received, so the earlier yours is placed the earlier it is built.

Made to your specification

Because each seat is made for your order rather than picked off a shelf, a made-to-specification seat cannot be cancelled once it is in production, and our special order terms apply.

We carry a large amount of stock at our showroom and across multiple distribution hubs.
