The Cobra Daytona reclining sport seat. Part number DAY-V.
The widest recliner Cobra make
580mm across against 540mm for the Le Mans, on a 530mm base. If the Le Mans has felt tight across the shoulders, this is the one that answers it, and it is one of Cobra’s most popular recliners for that reason.
865mm tall, 620mm deep, 13.5kg. Sharp ergonomic definition with deep side bolster supports, so it holds you far better than the width alone suggests.
Orthopaedic backrest and lumbar support
Both, which is unusual. The orthopaedic backrest supports the length of your back rather than gripping your ribs, and the lumbar support works underneath that, which is what makes this seat comfortable over a long drive rather than only supportive in corners.
The mechanism is crash tested
The reclining mechanism is tested and approved to ECE R17 and FMVSS207. Those are the regulations covering seat and anchorage strength, and a reclining seat carrying them is doing something a plain sports seat is not.
It is the reason to take a recliner from a maker who does competition work rather than one that only looks the part.
Harnesses
Four point harness facility, with a single slot through the integral head pad. If you are planning belts, tell us and we will check the routing suits what you have in mind.
Specification
Reclining, base mount. Road and Track approved rather than FIA homologated, which follows from the reclining mechanism.
Hand trimmed in the UK. Tell us your colours at checkout and we will confirm before the seat is built.
Seat only. Cobra frames include the sliding runner in the price.
