The Cobra Cub in tartan with integrated headrest, the most compact seat in the Classic steel-frame family. Part number Cobra Cub-Tartan.

The Cub shell is 680mm tall, 460mm wide, 460mm base, 650mm deep. Weight 8.5kg. At 460mm outer width and 460mm base, it is narrower than any other Classic family seat, and at 650mm it is the shallowest. The Cub is the choice when even the standard Classic at 480mm wide is too wide for the interior.

Headrest is included. Base mount only. No FIA approval. Road and track. All heights and waist sizes.

Tartan centre panels with vinyl surround, black stitching. Eight tartan patterns: Blair Ancient, Boyd Modern, Earl of St Andrews, MacFarlane Clan Ancient, MacKenzie Dress Modern, MacMillan Old Modern, Stewart Dress Modern, and Weir Ancient. Made to order, four to six weeks. Driver or passenger side at checkout. Seat only.

The headrest on the Cub is a meaningful addition at 680mm: without it, this shell height would leave the driver’s neck without support. The standard Classic Tartan with headrest (226970) is 710mm tall, 480mm wide, and 6kg, which is 30mm taller, 20mm wider, and 2.5kg lighter. The Cub is the option for the tightest interiors where the extra 20mm of the Classic will not fit.

Each seat is built to the specification you choose, which is why the wait is what it is: on average around 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the trim and options.

Cobra do not allow queue jumping. Orders are produced in the order they are received, so the earlier yours is placed the earlier it is built.

Made to your specification

Because each seat is made for your order rather than picked off a shelf, a made-to-specification seat cannot be cancelled once it is in production, and our special order terms apply.
