The Cobra Classic RSR in houndstooth, the tall version of the Classic steel-frame shell. Part number Cobra-Classic-RSR-Houndstooth.

Houndstooth is a period pattern rather than a modern one, and that is the point of it. It was a genuine trim on performance cars of the sixties and seventies, so on a Cobra shell it reads as correct rather than as decoration. Classic black and white check, let into the centre panel rather than printed.

820mm tall, 480mm wide, 480mm square base, 760mm deep, at 8.5kg. 110mm taller than the standard Classic, extending the back into head and neck support territory where the standard shell stops at shoulder level.

Base mount only, 291mm bolt pattern. No FIA approval. Road and track. All heights and waist sizes.

Hand trimmed in the UK. Driver or passenger side at checkout. Seat only.

What is this seat?
This is the Cobra Classic RSR shell in the houndstooth trim option, made to order. Houndstooth is a trim finish, it does not change the shape, approval or mounting of the standard Cobra Classic RSR seat: the tall Classic shell with extended back support, base mount.

Will my existing frame or brackets still fit it?
Yes. The shell, shape and mounting are the same as the plain Cobra Classic RSR, so any bracket, frame or fitting kit that suits the standard version fits this one too.

Will I fit in this seat?
Waist size and height are the maker's paper numbers. How a seat actually feels to sit in and climb out of is a different question, so call us with your height and waist and we will give you the honest answer.

Cobra seats are handcrafted in the UK

Each seat is built to the specification you choose, which is why the wait is what it is: on average around 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the trim and options.

Cobra do not allow queue jumping. Orders are produced in the order they are received, so the earlier yours is placed the earlier it is built.

Made to your specification

Because each seat is made for your order rather than picked off a shelf, a made-to-specification seat cannot be cancelled once it is in production, and our special order terms apply.
