A pair of PCI Racing sliding sub frames for the BMW E36 3-Series, 1992 to 1998. Part number SM-E36-S1-X2.
Both sides in one order, handed for driver and passenger. On an E36 that is the usual case, because these cars are almost always being built rather than modified a part at a time.
What it does
It puts side mount competition buckets onto the mounting points BMW already put in the floor. Nothing is drilled, the seat load goes into structure designed to carry it, and the original seats come out whole.
On a car of this age, check the metal round those mounting points before you spend. A mount can only feed load into sound structure, and thirty year old floorpans are worth a look with the carpet up.
The slider
PCI’s S1 slider bolts to the base with four bolts where a conventional slider uses two, which they rate as twice as strong as two bolt mounting. That is the detail worth paying for when a harness rather than a seatbelt is loading the seat.
If the car is a dedicated track car and you want the lowest fitment, the E36 adjustable mount sits lower and costs less per side.
Construction
Laser cut and CNC formed from one piece of 1/8 inch carbon steel, gloss black powder coat, grade 10.9 8mm hardware, five and six point sub belt mounting locations built in.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?

Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
