Our Reverie Range Updated For 2023

We have been through our whole Reverie range and updated it for 2023, with new products, new images, fuller information and bundle items you can add when you buy a Reverie seat.
Reverie Carbon make very light carbon fibre seats, some universal and some made for particular cars, along with the fitting kit and cushion sets to go with them. This year's additions include the new Super Sports seat, released this summer.

What has changed
Every Reverie listing on our site has been updated with new images and information, and the new 2023 products have been added. Where it helps, you can now add the matching fitting kit or cushion set as a bundle item on the same page.
Reverie make their seats in autoclaved carbon fibre, in two builds. A single skin seat has a matt black finish on the back. A twin skin seat has polished front and back shells bonded together into a stiffer, lighter monocoque. Reverie also make low back versions that suit older sports cars.
The new Super Sports
The Super Sports is one of Reverie’s new seats this summer. It is a light, rigid carbon bucket seat for someone who wants carbon on a sensible budget. The twin skin version is shaped to support the legs and kidney area, with more protection around the head and neck.
For track days and fast road use there are non-FIA versions, bare carbon or trimmed in fabric. For competition there is an FIA version, approved to FIA 8855-1999, in single or twin skin, trimmed in spacer fabric or left untrimmed. It is HANS friendly and takes a 6-point harness, and it needs side mounts to fit it to the car, which we also carry.

Narrow seats for the Lotus and VX220
Reverie’s narrow seats, the Mulsanne and the X C and XR C, are universal side mount seats, but they are also made to suit the Lotus Elise and Exige and the Vauxhall VX220. They come in twin skin and single skin, with and without head rests. The X C listing, for example, describes it as a drop in replacement for the Elise S1 and S2, 340R, 2-Eleven, Exige S1 and S2 and VX220, with a fully trimmed weight of 3.7kg.
The seats can go on the original Lotus S1 sliding and fixed rails, or on Reverie’s conversion kits for the later cars. Twin skin seats are stiffer and lighter than the single skin versions. Garreth’s advice is to check the seat width against the tunnel and sill before you order, especially in a narrow car.

Cushion kits and trim
A bare carbon seat can be made more comfortable with a cushion kit. Reverie offer them in narrow and wide versions, in FIA spacer fabric, vinyl, brushed nylon, Technosuede or leather. The pads attach with Velcro, so they can come out for cleaning.

What is the difference between single skin and twin skin Reverie seats?
A single skin seat has a matt black back. A twin skin seat has polished front and back shells bonded together, which makes it stiffer and lighter.
Is there an FIA approved Reverie seat?
Yes. The Reverie Super Sports FIA is approved to FIA 8855-1999, in spacer fabric or untrimmed.
Do Reverie seats fit the Lotus Elise?
Reverie’s narrow seats are made to suit the Elise, Exige and VX220, on the original S1 rails or with Reverie conversion kits.
Can I add cushions to a Reverie carbon seat?
Yes. Reverie cushion kits come in narrow and wide versions in several fabrics, vinyl and leather.
