We’re always excited when Mirco introduces new variations of their most popular bucket seats, and two new additions have now joined the range. The Mirco RTS-2 Stealth Edition Bucket Seat and the Mirco GT 3D Pink Stitch Edition FIA Motorsport Seat are now available to order through our website.
Both seats are based on proven Mirco designs that have become customer favourites over the years, offering the same shell shapes, support, and quality construction that drivers already know and trust. What makes these new editions special is the unique styling applied to each model, giving customers more choice when creating a motorsport, track day, or show car interior that stands out from the crowd.
Mirco has built a strong reputation for producing seats that combine excellent driver support with a huge range of customisation options. These latest additions continue that approach by taking two of the most popular models in the range and giving them their own distinct identity. The RTS-2 Stealth Edition focuses on a clean and understated motorsport appearance, while the GT Pink Stitch Edition introduces a more eye-catching contrast design that adds a unique touch without changing the seat’s motorsport-focused character.
Whether you’re building a dedicated track car, upgrading an existing competition vehicle, or simply looking for something different from the standard black-and-white seat combinations seen in many interiors, these new editions provide another way to personalise your setup while retaining the quality and performance that Mirco seats are known for.
Both models continue to use the same proven shell designs underneath, meaning customers benefit from all the support, comfort, and fitment characteristics that have already made the standard versions so popular. The difference comes down to styling, allowing drivers to choose a seat that better reflects the look and theme of their vehicle.
One of the biggest advantages of the Mirco range is the level of customisation available.
Unlike many motorsport seat manufacturers that offer only a handful of standard trim combinations, Mirco gives drivers the opportunity to create something more personal. Different stitching colours, shell finishes, embroidery options, and trim materials allow customers to build seats that complement the rest of their vehicle.
The new RTS-2 Stealth Edition and GT Pink Stitch Edition continue this approach by offering unique factory-designed specifications based on two of Mirco’s most popular seat models.
They deliver all the support, safety, and quality of the standard seats while adding distinctive styling details that help create a more bespoke interior.
The Mirco RTS-2 has become one of the most popular seats in the Mirco range thanks to its excellent balance between motorsport support and everyday usability. It sits in that sweet spot between a dedicated competition seat and a more road-friendly bucket seat, making it a versatile option for a huge variety of builds.
The new Stealth Edition takes the familiar RTS-2 design and gives it a more aggressive and understated appearance. The darker styling package creates a cleaner, more modern look that works particularly well in track-focused cars, black-themed interiors, and projects where customers want a more subtle motorsport aesthetic.
At its core, the RTS-2 uses a lightweight fibreglass shell construction that provides excellent rigidity and driver support. The shell shape features supportive shoulder bolsters, deep side supports around the hips, and raised leg bolsters that help keep the driver securely positioned during spirited road driving, track days, and motorsport use.
The seat is trimmed using Mirco’s popular combination of velour and 3D fabric materials. The velour provides a premium finish, while the 3D fabric panels offer additional grip, helping reduce driver movement under heavy cornering and braking. This combination has proven extremely popular across the Mirco range because it balances comfort, durability, and support.
Unlike larger head-supported motorsport seats, the RTS-2 features a more traditional bucket seat profile without wrap-around head protection wings. This makes it easier to get in and out of, improves visibility on the road, and helps it fit a wider range of vehicles where larger head-supported seats may create clearance issues.
The RTS-2 is also compatible with 6-point harness systems, making it suitable for serious track day use and many forms of motorsport where FIA approval is not specifically required.
Key features
The Mirco GT has long been one of the flagship FIA-approved seats within the Mirco range and has become a favourite among drivers looking for a comfortable yet highly capable motorsport bucket seat.
The new 3D Pink Stitch Edition takes this proven FIA-approved design and adds a unique visual twist through the use of striking pink contrast stitching throughout the seat. The stitching creates a subtle but distinctive contrast against the black trim materials, helping the seat stand out while still maintaining a professional motorsport appearance.
Beneath the special edition styling is the same proven Mirco GT shell that has become popular across track day, rally, drift, and race car builds. The seat uses a strong and lightweight fibreglass shell construction that provides excellent rigidity while keeping overall weight low.
One of the biggest strengths of the Mirco GT is its balance between support and accessibility. The seat features deep hip bolsters, supportive shoulder sections, and raised leg supports that provide excellent driver stability during competition use, while still being comfortable enough for longer periods behind the wheel.
The GT is trimmed in Mirco’s high-grip 3D fabric material, which has become a popular choice among motorsport drivers because it helps keep the driver securely positioned without requiring excessive effort to stay planted during hard driving. Combined with the FIA-approved shell design, this makes the GT an excellent choice for serious track and competition use.
Because the seat carries FIA approval, it is fully compatible with 6-point harness systems and suitable for a wide range of competitive motorsport disciplines. Whether the car is used for circuit racing, hill climbs, sprint events, rallying, drifting, or track days, the Mirco GT offers the safety and support expected from a modern FIA motorsport seat.
The addition of the pink stitching simply gives customers another opportunity to personalise their build without sacrificing any of the performance characteristics that have made the GT one of Mirco’s most popular FIA-approved models.
Key features
While the Stealth Edition and Pink Stitch Edition seats are built to order, customers can still experience the seat designs in person before committing to a purchase.
We currently display the standard Mirco RTS-2 and Mirco GT seats at our showroom in their black velour and 3D fabric trim combinations with traditional white stitching.
This allows customers to:
For many customers, sitting in a seat before ordering is one of the most important parts of the buying process, especially when selecting a motorsport seat.
Although both seats come from the same manufacturer, they are aimed at slightly different types of drivers.
The RTS-2 is a great all-round bucket seat for drivers wanting strong support without moving into a more specialised FIA competition seat. Its open design makes it suitable for a wide range of vehicles and driving styles.
The Mirco GT is more focused on motorsport applications and carries FIA approval, making it the better choice for drivers competing in events that require approved seating equipment.
The choice ultimately comes down to how the vehicle will be used and whether FIA approval is required for your build.
One of the biggest attractions of the Mirco range is the ability to create a seat that matches your own project.
The RTS-2 Stealth Edition and GT Pink Stitch Edition are both built-to-order products, allowing customers to benefit from Mirco’s bespoke manufacturing approach.
Depending on the model, additional customisation options may include:
This flexibility has made Mirco one of the most popular choices for customers building unique track cars and show vehicles.
Although both of these special editions come from the Mirco range and share the same fibreglass shell construction, they are aimed at slightly different drivers.
The Mirco GT is the more compact and slimline seat of the two. It has a narrower overall shape, making it easier to fit into smaller vehicles and providing a snugger fit for slimmer drivers. The GT is best suited to drivers with a 28 to 34-inch waist and is a popular choice for track cars where cockpit space is limited.
The Mirco RTS-2 is the larger seat in the range. It offers noticeably more room around the hips and torso while maintaining similar shoulder dimensions. This makes it a much better option for broader drivers who may find more compact FIA seats restrictive. We typically recommend the RTS-2 for drivers with a 32 to 38-inch waist.
While both seats measure around 590 mm wide at the shoulders, the biggest difference is lower down the shell. The RTS-2 features a much wider internal seating area and a larger base width, creating significantly more room around the hips and upper legs.
The RTS-2 is also slightly taller overall, making it a good option for taller drivers who need a little extra support around the shoulders and upper back.
| Measurement | Mirco GT | Mirco RTS-2 |
| Recommended Driver Waist | 28 to 34 inch | 32 to 38 inch |
| Shoulder Width | 590 mm | 590 mm |
| Internal Hip Width | 340 mm | 405 mm |
| Base Width | 495 mm | 430 mm shell width |
| Overall Height | 930 mm | 920 mm |
| Overall Length | 600 mm | 630 mm |
| FIA Approved | Yes | Yes |
| Harness Compatible | Yes | Yes |
| Shell Construction | Fibreglass | Fibreglass |
Although the shoulder dimensions are almost identical, the RTS-2 offers around 65 mm more room internally around the hips, which is where most drivers notice the difference. This extra space makes it a much more accommodating seat for larger builds, while the GT remains the better choice for drivers wanting a tighter, more competition-focused fit.
For customers visiting our showroom, sitting in both models back-to-back quickly highlights these differences. The GT provides a more snug and supportive feel, while the RTS-2 offers noticeably more space and comfort without sacrificing the support expected from an FIA-approved motorsport seat.
Like most fibreglass bucket seats, both the Mirco GT and Mirco RTS-2 use a side-mounted design. This means the seats require a pair of side mounts to complete the installation, making them suitable for a wide variety of vehicles and mounting setups.
Both seats use the commonly adopted universal side mounting bolt pattern found throughout the motorsport industry. This allows them to work with virtually any aftermarket universal side mount, giving customers plenty of flexibility when choosing their installation equipment.
Once fitted with side mounts, the seats can be installed in several different ways depending on how the vehicle is used. For motorsport builds, it is common to mount the seats directly to the vehicle floor or onto welded mounting bars for the lowest and most rigid installation possible. For road and track day vehicles, the seats can be mounted onto vehicle-specific seat subframes, with the option of adding sliding runners for an adjustable driving position.
After the side mounts have been attached, both the Mirco GT and RTS-2 use the common 345 mm wide base bolt pattern. This is one of the most widely used mounting patterns in the aftermarket seat industry and makes the seats compatible with a huge range of vehicle-specific seat subframes from leading manufacturers.
Compatible brands include:
This universal approach to mounting is one of the reasons the Mirco GT and RTS-2 are so popular. Whether you’re building a dedicated motorsport car, a track day project, or a fast road vehicle, finding suitable mounting equipment is straightforward and gives you the flexibility to create the exact seating position your build requires.
The arrival of the RTS-2 Stealth Edition and GT 3D Pink Stitch Edition gives you even more ways to personalise your builds while retaining the quality, support, and performance that have made these seats so popular.
Whether you’re looking for the subtle motorsport styling of the RTS-2 Stealth Edition or the unique appearance of the GT Pink Stitch Edition, both seats offer something different from the standard range while maintaining the same proven shell designs underneath.
If you’d like to experience the seat shapes and sizing in person before ordering, our showroom display seats provide the perfect opportunity to compare the standard versions and find the right fit for your project.
