Mini R53 Fitted With Sparco R100 Sky Seats

At GSM Performance we came across this useful video on YouTube by Billy Colquitt showcasing his R100 Sky reclining sports seats inside their mini Cooper R53. The video we have linked below includes a walkthrough on installing the seats and unboxing all the fitting equipment used for the installation. This involved the two Sparco seats, Sparco frames, and sliding runner kits. This is a very helpful guide for drivers installing seats into the Mini Cooper and a clear step-by-step guide on completing the installation.

Sparco R100 Seat Set Up

In the video they use USA Sparco frames to install the seats that we don’t have available in our online store, however, they are identical to our Planted technology brackets that will work perfectly with the Sparco R100 reclining sports seats. A sliding runner kit is installed between the seat and base frame during the video to allow the driver to adjust the seat forwards and backward, we have a Sparco sliding runner kit available that lines up with the bolt holes at the base of the R100 seat.

The Sparco R100 reclining sports seat is a perfect choice to install into a Mini Cooper, its slim design and narrow shoulder supports allow the seat to fit nicely in the space-restricted Mini Cooper cockpit. The vinyl trim makes this seat very easy to keep clean and is a good choice for open-top cockpits.

Sparco R100 Office Chair Conversion

The Sparco R100 Sports seat is also available as an office chair. We have three different versions of the office chair to choose from.

The Sparco Fast & Furious Icon Gaming Chair is named after the film and has put the Logo of the film franchise onto the Sparco seat that fits the R100 design perfectly.

Sparco has used the Vinyl R100 reclining sports seat and added an office base and armrests to create a comfortable chair that is perfect for gaming and is now called the Sparco Icon Gaming chair.

Recommended Sparco Harnesses...

The Sparco R100 sport seat range is able to fit harnesses with their two harness slots. At GSM we recommend only using harnesses up to a 4 point belt as reclining seats don’t feature enough harness slots to secure a 6 point harness safely.
