Every kit here is weld-in, so you will need a fabricator to fit it. Prices run from £834 for a 6-point National spec kit up to £1,854 for a fully braced Multipoint in T45.

Who each kit suits
The range covers a wide spread of driver, which is what stood out to Cameron going through the listings.
Building a Clio Cup car or putting a Megane together for club rally, the 6-point National spec CDS at £834 is the one to look at, a proper weld-in cage at a price that makes sense for the class. Step up to the Multipoint CDS or T45 and you are into cages built for stage rally and circuit racing above club level. The International T45 kits for the Clio Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3 at £1,674 cover most UK national events without needing to go further.
The Renault 5 Turbo kits are worth picking out on their own. Good cage options for the 1980 to 1984 Turbo are hard to come by, and Garreth rates the T45 version as the one worth the extra over the CDS if you are building the car once.

Common questions about the Renault range
Are these bolt-in or weld-in?
Weld-in only, across the whole Renault range. Book a fabricator before the kit arrives, the cage will not go in with hand tools.
Should I buy CDS or T45?
For most club rally and track day builds, CDS built to the published specification is a legal, well proven cage. T45 earns its place once you are chasing weight on a homologated design or the kit you want only comes in it. Our T45 vs CDS guide goes through the full decision.
What does "International" mean on the Clio kits?
Custom Cages’ own naming for the fuller specification of bracing, aimed at events run above national level. It is not a Motorsport UK or FIA term on its own, so check your own championship regulations for what your class actually requires.
Is the Renault 5 Turbo kit hard to find elsewhere?
Yes, decent options for the 1980 to 1984 Turbo are genuinely thin on the ground. Custom Cages build it in both CDS and T45, and it is one of the kits on this page worth ringing us about if you want to talk through the fit.
