Custom Cages Honda Roll Cages
Custom Cages, Honda
Cameron handles more Honda Civic cage enquiries than any other Japanese car, and the range justifies it. Custom Cages build 25 kits across nine model families: EG6, EK4, EP series, FN2, FK2, FK7 and FD2 on the Civic alone, then the DC2 and DC5 Integras, both S2000 variants, and the CRX in two spec levels.
Bolt-in options are on most of the Civic range and both Integra models, which is more than most makes get. Weld-in Multipoints in CDS and T45 sit alongside them for the builds where welding is either required or preferred. Prices go from £450 for the EP3 Rear Half Track DIY kit up to £2,274 inc VAT for the EK4 and DC5 Bolt-in International T45. Every kit is listed below.
- 25 kits across the Honda range: Civic EG6, EK4, EP series, FN2, FK2, FK7, FD2, Integra DC2 and DC5, S2000 and CRX

Bolt-in or weld-in
◫
Six-point National and bolt-in Multipoint
Six-point National CDS kits are on the EG6, EK4, EP3, DC2, DC5 and CRX at £889 each. The EK4 also runs bolt-in Multipoint options in CDS (£2,046) and T45 (£2,274), and the DC5 has a Bolt-in International T45 at £2,274. The EP3 Rear Half Track and Show kit is a bolt-on DIY option at £450. Bolt-in and bolt-on kits fit without a fabricator.
⚙
Multipoint weld-in, CDS and T45
Most of the Honda range runs a Multipoint weld-in in CDS (£1,311) and T45 (£1,818), or T45 only on the modern Civics and the FN2. Needs a fabricator to install properly. The step up from a bolt-in once the build asks for a full cage.
Civic EG6 and EK4
The EG6 is the 1992 to 1995 Civic and the EK4 runs from 1995 to 2001. Between them they cover a lot of the Honda cage enquiries that come in. The EG6 gets three kits: a six-point National bolt-in CDS at £889, then International Multipoint in CDS at £1,311 and T45 at £1,818. Both weld-in options are the same tube and fixing pattern, the difference is the steel.
The EK4 goes further with four options including two Bolt-in Multipoints, which is not common in the Custom Cages range. The six-point National CDS is £889. The International Multipoint weld-in T45 is £1,818. The Bolt-in versions fit without welding: CDS at £2,046 and T45 at £2,274. If the car is going on track but the bodyshell is staying standard or the class does not require a full weld-in, the Bolt-in is the practical option. Ring Cameron if you are not sure which spec applies to the class you are building for.
| Model | Kit type | Fixing | Steel | Price inc VAT |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EG6 | Six-point National | Bolt-in | CDS | £889 |

| EG6 | International Multipoint | Weld-in | T45 | £1,818 |
| EK4 | Six-point National | Bolt-in | CDS | £889 |
| EK4 | International Multipoint | Weld-in | T45 | £1,818 |
| EK4 | Bolt-in International | Bolt-in | CDS | £2,046 |
| EK4 | Bolt-in International | Bolt-in | T45 | £2,274 |

Civic EP series
The EP2 and EP3 cover the 2001 to 2005 Civic. The Rear Half Track and Show DIY kit is specific to the EP3 and worth knowing about: it is a bolt-on cage that covers the rear of the cabin at £450 inc VAT, no fabricator needed. It is the entry option for track day and show use where a full cage is not needed.
The six-point National CDS bolt-in sits at £889 and covers both EP2 and EP3. The International Multipoint T45 weld-in at £1,818 covers EP2 and EP3 together, so both use the same kit. Garreth keeps a note on the EP range because the EP3 bolt-on occasionally comes up against class regs that specifically call for a bolt-in cage: if that is the case, ring before ordering.
FN2, FK2, FK7 and FD2
The FN2 is the 2007 Civic Type R. Custom Cages build two International T45 kits for it: a Race spec at £1,818 and a Rally spec at the same price. The difference is in the bar configuration, so which one applies depends on the class. Cameron has been asked about this one more than once, so a call before ordering is worth it if the car is going into a named championship.
The FK2, FK7 and FD2 are the more recent Civic generations. Each gets a single International Multipoint T45 weld-in at £1,818. These are less commonly enquired about than the older Civics but every kit in the FK and FD range carries the same spec information and pricing as any other Civic generation in this guide.
Integra DC2 and DC5
The DC2 Integra Type R is the 1995 to 2001 model and one of the more enquired-about Japanese cars Custom Cages cover. Three kits: six-point National CDS at £889, International Multipoint CDS at £1,311 and International Multipoint T45 at £1,818. CDS vs T45 is the usual question here. The T45 costs more and saves a small amount of weight. For most club builds CDS covers what is needed; the T45 earns its place once the championship or the class asks for it.
The DC5 Integra runs 2001 to 2006. Three kits again, but the DC5 has a Bolt-in International T45 in place of the CDS weld-in: six-point National CDS at £889, Multipoint T45 weld-in at £1,818, and the Bolt-in International T45 at £2,274. The Bolt-in version is popular where the car is primarily road-driven and the owner wants the cage fitted without permanent modification. Ring Cameron if you are weighing the Bolt-in against the weld-in for a specific use.
| Model | Kit type | Fixing | Steel | Price inc VAT |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DC2 | Six-point National | Bolt-in | CDS | £889 |
| DC2 | International Multipoint | Weld-in | CDS | £1,311 |
| DC2 | International Multipoint | Weld-in | T45 | £1,818 |
| DC5 | Six-point National | Bolt-in | CDS | £889 |
| DC5 | Multipoint | Weld-in | T45 | £1,818 |
| DC5 | Bolt-in International | Bolt-in | T45 | £2,274 |

S2000 and CRX
The S2000 gets two Multipoint kits: CDS at £1,311 and T45 at £1,818. Both are weld-in. There is no bolt-in or six-point National option for the S2000, so a fabricator is needed for the install. The CDS kit covers most club-level builds; the T45 is the one for builds where the class asks for that steel or where the weight difference is relevant.
The CRX runs a six-point National CDS bolt-in at £889 and a Multipoint T45 weld-in at £1,818. The same pattern as the older Civics. If the car is an early CRX and the class is national-level, the six-point National is the one Cameron normally points people to first.
💬
Not sure which kit fitsTell us the car and the class
Honda cage enquiries often come down to two things: which Civic generation is it, and what does the class require. Bolt-in vs weld-in, CDS vs T45, National vs International. If any of those are unclear, ring 0115 9893488 and Cameron will go through it with you before you order.
Common questions about the Honda range
What is the difference between the bolt-in and weld-in kits on the EK4?
The weld-in International Multipoint T45 (£1,818) is permanently fixed to the bodyshell by a fabricator. The Bolt-in versions (CDS £2,046, T45 £2,274) use bolted mounts and can be removed. The bolt-in is a more complex kit to manufacture which is why it costs more. If the car is going into a championship, check the regulations before deciding: some classes call for a weld-in cage specifically.
Should I go CDS or T45 for a Honda cage?
For most Civic and Integra club builds, CDS built to the published spec is a proven, legal cage. T45 earns its place once the championship or class requires it, or once weight is a factor. Our T45 vs CDS guide covers the decision in more detail if you want to read through it first.
What is the EP3 Rear Half Track and Show kit?
A bolt-on partial cage for the EP3, covering the rear of the cabin only. It fits without welding and is listed as a DIY kit. Suitable for track days and shows where a full cage is not required. At £450 inc VAT it is the lowest entry point in the Honda Custom Cages range.
Are the FN2 Race and Rally kits different?
Yes. Both are International spec T45 at £1,818 but the bar configuration differs between Race and Rally use. If you are building for a named championship, tell Cameron the class and he will confirm which version applies.
Does this page cover every Honda cage Custom Cages make?
It covers every published, in-stock Custom Cages kit for Honda as of the date this guide was written. Safety Devices and SW Motorsports also build cages for some Honda models and those are listed separately on sportseats4u.co.uk.
Where this leads
For the steel question, our T45 vs CDS guide covers what the material difference means in practice. The bolt-in question comes up often enough that the bolt-in vs weld-in guide is worth reading before ordering if you are on the fence. For other Japanese makes, the full Custom Cages range on sportseats4u.co.uk lists everything we hold.
If you need Garreth or Cameron to check the kit against a specific championship, ring 0115 9893488. The FN2 Race and Rally split and the EK4 Bolt-in options are the two Honda questions that most often come down to a phone call.
