The MX5
The NA and NB share two full cage listings: Multipoint CDS at £1,311 and Multipoint T45 at £1,818.30. Both are weld-in. The NC (Mk3) has a Multipoint T45 at £1,818.30, also weld-in. None of the full cage kits are bolt-in.

MX5 half-track rear cage DIY kits
Custom Cages list a half-track rear cage DIY kit for the MX5 NA, NB and NC separately, at £450.30 each. Garreth’s note on these: they are a self-build rear section designed for track days and shows, not a competition cage, and they are weld-in kits that need welding to the shell by a competent welder. The “DIY” in the name means you assemble it yourself from the tubes supplied, and a competent welder still has to weld it to the shell. If you are building for any form of competition, the full Multipoint CDS or T45 is the right starting point.

Eight kits across the Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3. Cameron sees RX7 enquiries from hillclimb and rally builds more often than you might expect. The FC (Mk2) has the most kit options in the range.
A note on how Custom Cages name the RX7 listings: some carry “Mk1 (FB) and Mk2 (FC)” in the title, covering both early generations together. Others are listed as “Mk2 (FC)” only. Which MX5 full cage kit should I choose?
Custom Cages list two options for the MX5 Mk1 (NA) and Mk2 (NB): Multipoint CDS at £1,311 and Multipoint T45 at £1,818.30. For most club-level MX5 builds the CDS is the starting point. Are there any bolt-in cages in the Mazda range?
