The part number is derived from the E36 mount, which follows from the E85 Z4 sharing a good deal with that platform.
Why a Z4 needs thinking about
It is a small roadster with a low roofline and, in most cases with a competition seat, a roll bar behind you. Head clearance with a helmet on is the constraint rather than legroom, so seat height is the number that matters. A purpose made mount gets you down; a fabricated bracket usually adds height rather than removing it.
The slider
The seat moves fore and aft after installation, which suits a car that is still used on the road. PCI’s S1 slider bolts to the base with four bolts where a conventional slider uses two, which they rate as twice as strong.
Construction
Laser cut and CNC formed from a single piece of 1/8 inch carbon steel, gloss black powder coat, grade 10.9 8mm hardware, five and six point sub belt mounting locations built in.

Side mount, for a competition bucket, bolting to the factory seat mounting points. Handed, order twice for a pair.
