At its core, the RTS-2 uses a lightweight fibreglass shell construction that provides excellent rigidity and driver support. While both seats measure around 590 mm wide at the shoulders, the biggest difference is lower down the shell. The RTS-2 features a much wider internal seating area and a larger base width, creating significantly more room around the hips and upper legs.
The RTS-2 is also slightly taller overall, making it a good option for taller drivers who need a little extra support around the shoulders and upper back.

Although the shoulder dimensions are almost identical, the RTS-2 offers around 65 mm more room internally around the hips, which is where most drivers notice the difference. This extra space makes it a much more accommodating seat for larger builds, while the GT remains the better choice for drivers wanting a tighter, more competition-focused fit.

Like most fibreglass bucket seats, both the Mirco GT and Mirco RTS-2 use a side-mounted design. This means the seats require a pair of side mounts to complete the installation, making them suitable for a wide variety of vehicles and mounting setups.
Both seats use the commonly adopted universal side mounting bolt pattern found throughout the motorsport industry. This allows them to work with virtually any aftermarket universal side mount, giving customers plenty of flexibility when choosing their installation equipment.
Once fitted with side mounts, the seats can be installed in several different ways depending on how the vehicle is used. For motorsport builds, it is common to mount the seats directly to the vehicle floor or onto welded mounting bars for the lowest and most rigid installation possible. For road and track day vehicles, the seats can be mounted onto vehicle-specific seat subframes, with the option of adding sliding runners for an adjustable driving position.
