Some TRS shoulder straps are designed to wrap around a suitable cage or harness bar. That does not approve every tube, angle or wrapping method.
Identify the belt, cage or harness bar, seat and driver position. Use TRS and cage-maker instructions for strap angle, bar suitability and wrapping. Do not copy a photograph from another car.
A rear brace, removable cross-bar or decorative tube may not be intended as a belt anchorage. Confirm the bar with the cage manufacturer.
Check belt and cage documents first
Read the exact TRS belt instructions to confirm wrap-around shoulder attachments are permitted. Then identify the cage code and the tube intended as a harness bar. Both documents need to agree with the installation.
Strap route follows the seated shoulders
Install the seat and driver before settling the shoulder route. The straps should pass cleanly through the seat openings without folding on their edges, crossing each other or contacting sharp hardware. Use the permitted geometry in the current belt instructions.
Use the specified wrapping sequence
Follow the TRS diagrams for the adjuster and tail. Keep left and right routes symmetrical and make sure the webbing lies flat. Do not knot the strap, add an unlisted clamp or improvise a shared loop.
A competent installer should inspect the finished wrap.
Webbing tells you when something is wrong
Before use, check the label, webbing, adjusters, bar and all contact points. Look for fraying, glazing, cuts, contamination or movement. After changing the seat position, repeat the geometry and length checks.

Can shoulder straps wrap around any roll-cage tube?▾
No. Confirm that the exact cage tube is intended and suitable as a restraint anchorage.
Can both shoulder straps share one bar?▾
Often where the cage and belt installation is designed that way, but each strap still needs its own correct route and wrap.
Should the straps cross behind the seat?▾
Use the current TRS instructions for that belt and installation. Do not copy another car.
Can I use a bolt-in end around a bar?▾
Only if the product instructions provide an approved conversion or attachment. Do not remove or replace sewn hardware yourself.
