The C2 VTS is the version people build, and it is the successor to the Saxo VTS in spirit if not in name. Cheap, light and still turning up in club events.
Space is the constraint
A C2 is small inside and the door cards are close. Shell width matters as much as the subframe does, so tell us your height and build before you order anything and we will work out which seats actually fit rather than let you buy one that does not.
Weight
Very light, which is most of why it works, and a heavy steel framed shell gives back a real slice of it. Ask us about the lighter GRP and composite options if you are building one seriously.
Check the floor first
These are twenty years old, were cheap when new, and few have been looked after. Lift the carpet and look at the metal round the mounting points before you spend.
What else you need
Side mounts and the seat. Seat choice stays open. The 345mm by 271mm spacing covers Sparco, OMP and Corbeau base mount seats, and the frame also carries the 405mm by 290mm Recaro pattern, which a Sparco frame does not. Cobra use 291mm by 330mm and need multi hole side mounts.

Will this fit my car?
This frame is made for the Citroen C2. Chassis code and years matter more than the badge, as floor pans change between generations, so if your car sits near a changeover year, send us the registration and we will confirm before you order.
Which seats does it take?
It takes seats drilled 345mm x 271mm (the Sparco and OMP seat pattern) and 405mm x 290mm (the Recaro seat pattern). If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.
Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on OMP frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
This is a base-mount frame: the seat bolts down through its base, the simpler stack that suits seats with a flat bottom and keeps the install low-fuss. Our guide on base mount versus side mount explains the whole fitting stack.
