The shell is steel framed with synthetic leather over it, shaped the way OMP shape a road seat, with raised bolsters either side of a flat centre panel. It is based on an OMP touring seat rather than a competition bucket, which is why it is comfortable to sit in all day. A stripped race shell is not.
Adjustment
Recline is on a lever at the side, and it is the seat own mechanism rather than the tilt you get on ordinary office furniture. Height runs on a gas lift. The base is a five wheel star that swivels through 360 degrees. The armrests are removable, so if you work with your elbows on the desk you can take them off and leave the shell as a plain seat.
Trim comes in black on its own, or black with a second colour through the centre panels and stitching, including yellow, red, blue, white and OMP Airnet mesh. Airnet is worth a look if the room gets warm, because mesh centres breathe in a way vinyl does not.
This is the chair to buy if you want the look without a conversion project. It arrives as one item and goes together in a few minutes. There is no separate base to order and no adaption plate to match to a seat.
If you already own an OMP seat and want to use that instead, the OMP office seat base is the part you need. The GS and GS-X are OMP newer chairs in the same line.
