The GS-X is OMP office chair in its brighter colours, part number HA0-0836-A01. Mechanically it is the same idea as the GS: steel frame, vinyl trim, gas lift height, five arm castor base, and a reclining backrest with armrests fitted.
What sets it apart is the trim. Where the GS is offered in black and quiet two tones, the GS-X comes in black with orange, black with green, black with fluorescent yellow, or plain black. Those are race colours rather than office ones, and that is the point of the model. It is the chair for a workshop, a sim rig room, or a home office where you want the thing to be seen.
Who it suits
OMP quote it for all heights and for waists from 28 to 38 inches, the same bracket as the GS. The shell is a road seat shape with bolsters either side of the centre panels, so it holds you without gripping the way a competition bucket does.
The fluorescent yellow is the loudest of the four and does not photograph the way it looks in a room. If you are ordering on colour alone, tell us the space it is going into and we will say honestly whether it will work.
The GS is the same chair in restrained colours if the room needs it, and the HA777 is the older shape with removable armrests. All three arrive as complete chairs with nothing to convert and no base to order separately.
