Recaro sub-frame 861517 was developed for this platform. The -1994 suffix in the SKU is Recaro’s internal platform dating code rather than a model year. The frame bolts to the OEM floor mounting points using the factory pattern, with no chassis modifications required.
The Bora saloon attracted buyers who wanted Golf IV practicality with a more formal body style. Some Bora Variants were also used as working cars covering significant mileage, which is the typical reason a Recaro seat goes into one.
