The Peugeot Expert Mk1 was produced from 1995 to 2007 as a medium panel van and people-carrier, sharing its platform with the Fiat Scudo and Citroen Dispatch. The three-vehicle alliance used a common floor design with a raised cab floor relative to passenger car platforms, and the driver sits in a position that is part van, part car, higher than a hatchback but lower than a full-size LCV.

Part number RECH3UA9338 is the Recaro direct-fit sub-frame for the Expert Mk1. It attaches at the factory cab floor mounting positions without drilling and provides fore-aft sliding travel for the Recaro seat. The Expert shares its floor fixing geometry with the Scudo and Dispatch, though Recaro has produced this sub-frame to the Expert’s specific dimensions.

The Expert was sold in crew cab, panel van, and multi-seat minibus configurations. All of these put the driver in the same front left position, and in any of them a Recaro Sport or Sportster CS is a genuine improvement for a driver covering significant distances. The Expert cab was designed for practicality, not long-distance comfort.

This sub-frame fits Recaro brand seats only. It covers base-mountable bucket seats and reclining sport seats and is not designed for side-mounted competition shells. The price is for one sub-frame, one seat. Let us know your Recaro model when ordering and we will confirm the complete kit.

Additional seat belt brackets: Each seat frame can be used for a variety of applications including road car reclining seats throuh to Motorsport FIA seats. Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

Which seats does it take?
Check the bolt pattern in the specification against your seat. The Compatible seats tab above lists what bolts straight on. If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Recaro frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Recaro seats are produced in batches for the UK market

We receive Recaro deliveries regularly and hold good stock of the popular models, so many go out quickly.

Demand for the bucket seats is worldwide and production runs to Recaro’s own schedule, so the less common models and trims can take considerably longer. Ask us and we will tell you where a specific seat stands.

Before you order

If you need a seat for a date, ring us first. We would rather give you an honest lead time up front than have you waiting on a seat that is between production runs.
