This Recaro sub-frame (part number 86.84.26) is made for the Audi TT from June 2006 onwards. That is the second-generation 8J platform, a more substantial car than the 8N it replaced, with a wider cabin, a proper MQB-predecessor chassis, and a significantly different floor structure that makes the earlier 862616 sub-frame incompatible.
The 8J TT came as a 2.0 TFSI quattro and a 3.2 V6, and later in TTS and TTRS form. The Recaro sub-frame for this generation positions the seat correctly for the 8J’s OEM floor mounts and seatbelt geometry. Fore-aft runners are integrated, retaining seat adjustment.
Fits Recaro base-mountable bucket seats and reclining sport seats. Not for side-mounted competition seats without additional adaption hardware. One sub-frame per listing, one seat position.
