The Volkswagen Fox was sold in the UK from 2005 to 2011 as a budget front-wheel-drive hatchback and saloon, built on the PQ24 platform. In Fox form the car was not a natural motorsport candidate from the factory, but the PQ24 platform it shares with the Polo Mk4 and Seat Ibiza 6L means the mechanical basis is sound. The Fox turns up in budget class events, autocross, and junior competition programmes where cost is the primary constraint. Fitting a bucket seat is one of the first changes in any competition build.
This Corbeau sub-frame is matched to the Fox’s floor fixing positions. The PQ24 floor in the Fox has the same platform architecture as the Polo Mk4, though the body dimensions differ. The sub-frame uses the original bolt points and places the Corbeau seat correctly without drilling. The kit may be a complete replacement frame with sliding runner or an adaptation bracket set, depending on the specific configuration for this floor.
