The Audi 80 and 90 on the Type 81 and 85 platforms ran from 1978 to 1987 and found their way into club motorsport more readily than the later cars because of their simpler construction and lighter weight. The quattro four-wheel-drive system was introduced into this platform family in the early 1980s, and the 80 quattro and 90 quattro became competitive in rally events well into the following decade. The Type 81 and 85 floor has its own geometry that predates the B3 platform that followed, so sub-frames for the later Audi 80 or A4 are not correct for these cars.
This Corbeau sub-frame is matched to the Type 81 and 85 floor fixing positions. The kit works from the original bolt points, which keeps the seat at the right height without drilling into the floor. Depending on the specific configuration Corbeau have developed for this platform, the kit may be a complete replacement frame with sliding runner or an adaptation bracket set. Given the age of these cars, using the existing fixing points rather than adding new holes matters more than it does on a modern platform.
For base-mounted and reclining sport seats. Not for side-mounted FIA race seats. Priced at £245 exc. VAT per seat position. Order twice for both sides. Note the Corbeau seat you are fitting in the comments at checkout so we can confirm the combination before dispatch.
