The new OMP RTS reclining sport seat has landed in our showroom, and we have a pair in, which suits anyone changing both front seats at once. It is new for 2025, and you can come and sit in it, look it over, or have it sent out.
OMP have taken the look of their RT fixed back bucket seat and put it on a steel framed recliner, so you get the shape and bolsters of a race seat with a back you can adjust. Below is what it is, the measurements we took ourselves, how it bolts in, and the OMP frame made for it.

What is on this page
A fresh look for 2025
The RTS takes its lines from the OMP RT, a fixed back bucket seat that has been popular in track and fast road cars. OMP have kept the shaped side and leg bolsters and the aggressive look, and added the one thing a fixed back cannot give you: a back that reclines. For a car that is driven on the road during the week and on track at the weekend, that makes it much easier to live with.

That last point matters. The RTS is a fast road and track day seat. If the car is going to be scrutineered in competition that requires an FIA seat, talk to us and we will point you at an approved shell.

Our own measurements
We measured the RTS here in the showroom, because those numbers are what decide whether it fits between your tunnel and door card.

The low base cushion helps taller drivers keep their headroom, and the 900mm back gives plenty of support to the head. At 560mm across the shoulders it is a slim seat, the same width as the Cobra Monaco Pro, but measure the space in your own car before you order, and allow for the recline mechanism at 550mm.
Fitting: the 345mm base pattern
The RTS is base mounted, and the holes measured 345mm across on ours. That is a common base pattern, so it opens up a lot of the runners and subframes out there, including many from OMP, Sparco and Planted. Always check that the frame you choose is a 345mm one before ordering: Corbeau make frames in both 345mm and 291mm, Cobra frames use a narrower 291mm pattern, and Recaro's 405mm pattern is different again.
The seat comes on its own, so each side needs a subframe for your car, and runners if you want to slide it. Tell us the car and we will match them. Our seat bolt patterns guide explains the different widths.
The OMP RTS frame and slider kit
A common complaint about base mounted recliners is that you cannot tilt them the way you can a side mounted bucket. OMP make a frame and slider kit for the RTS that helps here. It is 3mm steel, 380mm long, low profile, with six mounting holes, and those holes let you set the seat height and angle before you commit, to get closer to the rake of a race seat.
Adding a frame and sliders does raise the seat, because there is more between the seat and the floor. Garreth’s advice for tall drivers chasing the lowest position is to measure the headroom first, and to leave the frame out if it is tight. Is the OMP RTS FIA approved?
No. It is road and track rated, so it is not for competition that requires an FIA seat.
What bolt pattern does the OMP RTS use?
It is base mounted, and the holes measured 345mm across on the seat we have.
Will the OMP RTS fit a Cobra frame?
Not directly, because Cobra frames use a 291mm pattern; you would need adapter plates.
Can I use a harness with the OMP RTS?
Yes, it has harness slots in the shoulders, and it also works with the standard seatbelt.
Does the OMP frame raise the seat?
Yes. A frame and sliders add height, so check your headroom first if you are tall.
