Subaru Impreza With Cobra Suzuka T Bucket Seats And Sparco Harnesses
Customer cars, March 2020
We recently supplied a customer with a pair of Cobra Suzuka T bucket seats, Sparco Club Racer harnesses and the fitting frames for a Subaru Impreza, and the photos are in.
The Impreza looks great and is ready to hit the track. The seats give a lot of support on their own, and paired with the right set of 3 inch motorsport harnesses, they hold the driver properly in place.

Seats, harnesses and frames together
This Impreza had the full job: seats, harnesses and frames, all from us. It is the way we like to see a car done, because the three parts depend on each other. The seat decides where the harness slots sit, the frame decides the seat height, and the harness has to run back to its mounting points at the right angle.
The customer chose black Cobra Suzuka T seats with blue Sparco Club Racer harnesses, which looks very smart against the blue paint.
The Suzuka T is a one piece fibreglass bucket seat with Cobra's ultra low split cushioning, which drops the hip point and supports each leg separately. It is side mounted, has harness slots for 4, 5 and 6 point belts, and is HANS compatible.
It comes in a standard width and a wider GT version, and in road and track or FIA approved versions. If you compete in a scrutineered class, choose the FIA version.

Why the harness matters
A bucket seat holds you sideways. A harness holds you down into it, so the support the seat gives is only as good as the belts keeping you in it. That is why we paired these seats with 3 inch motorsport harnesses. Our guide on how to fit a motorsport harness covers the angles and anchor points.
Cobra seats for your Impreza
Looking for Cobra motorsport seats for your Subaru Impreza? We have fitting kits for each version of the Impreza from the Classic through to the Hawk Eye. Pick the Cobra seat that suits you, from the Imola T through to the Sebring T, then the matching subframe, and the job is straightforward.
Garreth’s advice is to choose the seat on your body shape first. Send us your height and waist, and tell us which Impreza you have, and we will point you to the right seat and frame.
