Safety Devices Audi Roll Cages Updated For 2023
Range update, April 2023
We have updated our Safety Devices roll cages for Audi models. These are bolt-in cages made for specific Audi shells, and each listing now has the options laid out clearly: the cage layout, door bars where the design allows them, and the finish.
New with this 2023 update, there is a rear cage version listed for each of the full cages. Here is what is in the Audi range and how the options work.
- Safety Devices bolt-in roll cages for Audi models
- Audi TT Coupe 8N, Audi Quattro Coupe, Audi A4 B5 and Audi 80 B1 B2
- Rear cage versions listed for each full cage
- Door bar options where the design allows them
- Black powder coat as standard, or grey, charcoal grey, silver, white or red
- Unpainted available by special request

The Audi range
Our Safety Devices Audi cages cover the TT Coupe 8N, the original Audi Quattro Coupe, the A4 B5 and the Audi 80 B1 and B2. Each one is made for that shell, and each listing sets out the models and years it suits, the part numbers and what the cage is approved for, so you can see before ordering whether it is a road and track cage or one for competition.
Safety Devices are a UK maker of competition roll cages and accessories. Their bolt-in cages fit to the car’s existing structure using mounting plates, so they can go in without welding.

Layouts, door bars and colours
A full cage is built from a front cage, a rear cage and, on some designs, door bars. On the TT, for example, the full cage has a front section that runs in front of the dashboard, a rear cage with a cross diagonal and harness bar, and optional single door bars on each side.
Every cage comes in black powder coat as standard, with grey, charcoal grey, silver, white and red as options, and it can be supplied unpainted by special request. If you are after another colour, ask us and we will see what can be done.

Rear cages on their own
From this update, each full cage also has a rear cage version listed. A rear cage has no front section or door bars, so it keeps the car easier to get in and out of, and it gives a solid mounting point for harnesses. Depending on the car, the rear cage comes as a single bar, a single bar with a harness bar, or with a cross diagonal.
Garreth’s advice is to decide how the car will be used before choosing a layout, because competition rules, door bars and road use all pull in different directions. If the cage is mainly there to carry a harness, our guide to harnesses and roll cages explains why the two go together.
