MacFarlane Clan Ancient carries black, red, and yellow on a lighter ground, woven in the Ancient colourway: softer, less fully saturated threads than a Modern equivalent. The Ancient weave gives the pattern a weathered, period feel. Width 140cm. Weight 415 grams per square metre (13oz per yard).
The yellow stripe distinguishes the MacFarlane from the other darker-ground tartans in this range. It adds warmth to the palette without the red-dominance of the Stewart or Boyd patterns. In classic car interiors with original or patinated trim, the Ancient colourway sits more naturally than a vivid Modern equivalent, because it looks as though it has always been there.
Same construction as the Cobra and Corbeau tartan seat editions, sold separately for seat recovery or trim builds. One metre covers a centre panel; two metres typically covers back and base panels. No foam or backing included.
