Boyd Modern is red-dominant with green crossing lines and a distinctive burgundy-leaning red in the Modern colourway’s fully saturated thread. The Boyd carries a darker, warmer red than the Stewart Dress Modern: where the Stewart reads as bright scarlet, the Boyd leans towards a deeper burgundy. Width 140cm. Weight 415 grams per square metre (13oz per yard).
For interiors where a red-dominant tartan is the brief but the vivid scarlet of the Stewart is too bright, the Boyd is the comparison to make. Both are red-heavy patterns at scale; the Boyd has more depth and warmth in the red field.
Same construction as the Cobra and Corbeau tartan seat editions, sold separately for recovering existing tartan panels or building a new interior. One metre covers a centre panel; two metres typically covers back and base. No foam or backing included.
