Long eyebolts for clip-in harness installations where a standard shank gives insufficient clearance. Part number 24E0350. 7/16″ UNF thread, 50mm shank, 8.8 grade steel. Sold individually.
The 50mm shank (against 25mm on the standard eyebolt, 24E0340) gives the harness strap’s snap hook more clearance from the chassis surface. This matters when the strap needs to pass through a grommet, when the strap angle would cause the snap hook to bear against the chassis at short shank length, or when the chassis wall is thick enough that the standard eyebolt’s shank length does not project far enough to allow the hook to sit freely on the eye.
Standard 7/16″ UNF thread, matching TRS harness snap hook sizes and UK chassis fabrication practice. 8.8 grade. A four-point clip-in harness needs four eyebolts. If the standard length (24E0340, £2.85) gives enough clearance in your installation, use that; it is less expensive and the shorter shank is less likely to catch on bodywork or seat foam. Specify the long version at the build stage when the chassis geometry makes it necessary.
