The adjustable-length version of the TRS fabric tow eye strap. Same purpose as the fixed-length version (23N500): it bolts through the car’s factory tow point and gives marshals or a recovery crew something bright to grip. The difference is that this one (part number 23N520) lets you set the strap depth before locking it off, which matters when the tow point sits at an unpredictable depth inside the bumper.
The adjustment runs on a cam or slide buckle. Set the length until the loop sits at the right depth and stands clear of the bumper without flopping loose, then lock it. Marking the correct position with a cable tie or a permanent mark on the webbing saves time when the strap comes off for transport and needs reinstalling at the next event.
Nine colours available, including Hi-Vis Yellow. Most class regulations specify a minimum colour visibility for tow points, and some specify Hi-Vis. Check your supplements before choosing a colour that might not pass scrutineering. At £15 against £10.95 for the fixed version, the extra cost is small.
The adjustable version is the sensible first choice if you are not yet certain how deep your tow point sits, or if the tow point is recessed at an angle that changes the effective strap depth depending on how it is pulled. Once you know the correct length, you can mark it and reinstall consistently at every event. For a car where the position is fully established, the fixed version (23N500) is the neater permanent fit and saves £4.05.
