The heavier-rated lashing strap in the TRS range, at 2200kg working load limit. Same 50mm (2 inch) webbing and claw hook style as the 1500kg version (23L5030), with a higher WLL for heavier vehicles. Available in 2 metre and 3 metre lengths. Part number MA600-0002.
Choose 2m or 3m at the time of ordering. The 3 metre option suits wider trailers or transporters where the standard 2 metre strap does not reach the anchor points cleanly without going at a shallow angle to the trailer rail. A strap running at a shallow angle loses a significant fraction of its effective load rating compared to the same strap running closer to vertical. The 3 metre strap gives you the extra length to reach a distant anchor point at a better angle, which is particularly relevant on double-deck transporters and wide beavertail trailers.
Use four straps minimum, one per corner, run forward and inward to the trailer rails so the car is locked in all directions under braking, acceleration, and cornering from the tow vehicle. Check the working load limit per strap against the axle weights, not just the vehicle total. A 2 tonne car with weight biased rearward may put 1,200kg over the rear axle, meaning the two rear straps each carry up to 600kg on a good road. The 2200kg WLL gives clear margin over the 1500kg version in that scenario.
At £20 each, the premium over the 1500kg version (£9.95) is modest. For a car consistently on the heavier side, buy the 2200kg version throughout rather than mixing with 1500kg straps.
