The 25mm width fits through smaller attachment points where a 50mm strap would not thread or would be too bulky to use. Typical applications include spare wheel tie-downs on a trailer shelf, securing a trolley jack from rolling during transport, keeping tool bags and loose equipment from moving on a trailer deck, and any secondary securing job alongside the main vehicle straps. These are general-purpose securing straps for trailer organisation rather than the primary vehicle tie-downs.
For securing a car on a transporter, the 50mm versions (23L5030 and MA600-0002) are the correct product. They have the claw hooks, the correct webbing width for vehicle tie-down loads, and the geometry to run properly from suspension or chassis rails. The 25mm strap’s 1500kg WLL figure is technically adequate for a light car by number, but the narrow webbing and the absence of claw hooks make it the wrong tool for that specific job.
At £7.50, the 25mm strap is the low-cost option for equipment securing and general trailer organisation. A set of four for tool bags and loose kit costs under £30. They are light enough to carry a few spares in the boot of the race car or in the glovebox of the tow vehicle without noticing the weight, which is useful when a strap is missing or damaged at an event.
