The PTBO is Tillett’s current aluminium side mount bracket for the B6 Screamer, B7, B8 and B9. It was previously sold as the TBF5; the part number changed but the bracket design did not. Part number PTBO.

Black anodised aluminium, 6mm wall thickness. Side mounts bolt to the sides of the seat shell and connect it to the fitting frame or floor subframe. Side mounting positions the seat lower and further outboard than a base mount does, and gives some angle adjustment through the mount geometry.

Against the TBFIA02: the PTBO does not carry FIA approval. For most track day and club racing use, that is not a requirement. If your series mandates homologated mounting hardware, check the TBFIA02, which covers the same seat models alongside others. For everyone else, the PTBO is the straightforward bracket at a lower price.

Compatible seat models: Tillett B6 Screamer, B7, B8 and B9. The B6 without the Screamer designation, the B10 and C1 are not on this list. If you are running a different Tillett shell and need a side mount, ask us which bracket is correct before ordering.

Will this fit my seat and car?

Do I still need a sliding runner?
Only if you want fore-and-aft adjustment: the runner sits between this hardware and the seat or floor depending on the stack. Our sliding runner guide explains the options and widths.

Tillett seats are custom-made to order

These carbon seats are handcrafted in the UK for each order. We do not stock or display them in the showroom, so everything is a special order placed with Tillett when you buy.

Lead times depend on the model and the options you choose, so ring us before ordering if you are working to a date.

Because each seat is made for you, our special order terms apply once production has begun.

Tell us your height, weight and the car, and we will confirm the right size and mounting before anything is made. Tillett sizing is specific and worth getting right first time.

We carry a large amount of stock at our showroom and across multiple distribution hubs.
