The Takata Race Evo 9 Bucket Seat Package includes a Takata Race LE competition bucket seat with Evo 9-specific side mount brackets and a Takata Drift III Snap-On harness. The Evo 9 (final CT9A series) was produced from 2005 to 2007 as the last iteration of the CT9A body.
The Evo 9 MR introduced a close-ratio 6-speed gearbox sourced from the FQ360 and was limited to 2,500 units worldwide. The 4G63 engine in the 9 was in its most refined state after 15 years of continuous development: this was the last Evolution to use the iron-block 2.0-litre that had powered every generation from the first Evolution in 1992. The GSR variant retained Active Yaw Control where the RS deleted it, saving 7kg and leaving the rear differential behaviour entirely to the driver’s technique and brake-based manipulation.
The Evo 9 body preceded the CZ4A’s wider front track and larger bumper overhangs, keeping the car narrower and lighter than the Evo X while retaining the 4G63 platform’s mechanical character.
The Drift III harness is Road and Track approved, not FIA competition legal. Package options: Seat Width (Standard or Excel Width), Sport Seat Position (RHD Driver Side or RHD Passenger Side), Webbing Colour (Black or Green).
