The Takata Race E36 Bucket Seat Package includes a Takata Race LE competition bucket seat with E36-specific side mount brackets and a Takata Drift III Snap-On harness. The E36 is the second-generation BMW 3 Series, produced from 1990 to 2000.
The E36 was the first 3 Series to adopt multi-link rear suspension throughout the range (the E30 used semi-trailing arms). BMW’s Z-axle design gave the E36’s rear end more progressive geometry, and the setup carried into the E46 with different geometry parameters. The E36 M3 in European specification used the S50 straight-six in variants running from 286hp to 321hp in the M3 Evolution, the latter sold only in European markets and never officially imported to the UK in that specification. The E36 has become the most widely used car in UK grassroots drifting because the rear suspension accepts greater adjustment than most rivals of that era, and values have remained low enough to build a dedicated circuit or drift car without requiring a high-value chassis.
This package is priced at £833, the same as the E46 package and £62 below the standard £895 package price.
The Drift III harness is Road and Track approved, not FIA competition legal. Package options: Seat Width (Standard or Excel Width), Sport Seat Position (RHD Driver Side or RHD Passenger Side), Webbing Colour (Black or Green).
For the standalone Race LE seat: Takata Race LE Competition Bucket Seat.
Packages are assembled to order including the vehicle-specific bracket set; lead time is 4 to 8 weeks from order. If you need the seat for a specific event, drop us an email or click to open a chat and we will confirm the schedule.
