The Evo QRT Fibreglass is Sparco’s dedicated sim racing seat, built on the fibreglass shell from the motorsport Evo QRT range and sold for rig use. Part number 008007GNR.
It is a fixed-back bucket seat with side mount fixing. The trim is velour in black with black stitching. No head support wings. Sized for drivers up to about 6ft with a 28″ to 32″ waist, so this is the narrower Evo shell. Larger-framed drivers tend to find it tight across the hips and would want the Evo L version instead.
Side mount fixing means you need a rig that accepts side-mount seats. The seat arrives without brackets; you add them based on your rig design. The seat has 6-point harness compatibility if you want to run a full harness on the rig: the slots are there, but it is not required.
Fibreglass holds its shape over long sessions in a way that foam does not. It is harder than a padded seat, which some sim racers find comfortable because there is no compression or change in feel over time, and others find less forgiving. Worth knowing before you buy if you have not used a fibreglass seat before.
We have been supplying Sparco seats since 2003. If you are choosing between this and the Rev QRT for a sim rig, tell us about your setup and we can give a view.
