The Evo L is Sparco’s wide-shell fibreglass sim racing seat, built for taller and broader-framed drivers who find the standard Evo QRT shell too narrow. SKU 0080013GNR. At £433 it sits above the standard Evo QRT in the range.
The shell is fibreglass, trimmed in black velour with black stitching. Velour holds you in place during longer sim sessions and is easier to keep clean on a rig than fabric, where you are not dealing with sweat and elements in the same way as a car. The side-mount fixing connects to most popular sim rig seat adaptor kits without modification. The seat ships without mounting hardware.
The Gaming/Sim Racing approval on this listing is not FIA motorsport homologation. The motorsport version of the Evo L QRT carries FIA 8855-1999 and is sold under a different SKU. This particular seat, 0080013GNR, is set up for rig use only. If you need the FIA-approved competition version for track or circuit use, that is a separate product.
Driver sizing: listed as suitable for over-6ft height and 32 to 36-inch waist. For drivers within the standard Evo QRT size range, the standard Evo costs less and covers the same application. The Evo L is specifically for those who need the larger footprint.
The shell is fibreglass rather than the foam-backed plastic used in budget sim seats, which gives it a stiffer feel and better support over a long session. That rigidity is the main reason drivers from a motorsport background tend to choose this seat over options marketed primarily at sim racing.
