One Recaro direct fit sub-frame for the BMW M240i, 357; a passenger seat needs a second one.

What else you need

The seat does not bolt straight to the frame. Recaro side mounts go in between. Recaro’s homologation covers the seat with its side mounts as a system; the mounts are listed separately.

About this fitment

The M240i is the F22 coupe or F23 convertible with the B58 six. The seat mounting is the F22’s, which Recaro’s frame suits, and we list it under the M240i so the car is findable. Say which body you have when you order.

The car side of the fitting

It bolts to the seat mounting points the factory left in the floor, so nothing is drilled, and it carries a Recaro seat at the height the seat was designed to sit.

Additional seat belt brackets: Each seat frame can be used for a variety of applications including road car reclining seats throuh to Motorsport FIA seats. Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

Which seats does it take?
Check the bolt pattern in the specification against your seat. The Compatible seats tab above lists what bolts straight on. If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Recaro frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Availability

Recaro seats are produced in batches for the UK market

We receive Recaro deliveries regularly and hold good stock of the popular models, so many go out quickly.

Demand for the bucket seats is worldwide and production runs to Recaro’s own schedule, so the less common models and trims can take considerably longer. Ask us and we will tell you where a specific seat stands.

Before you order

If you need a seat for a date, ring us first. We would rather give you an honest lead time up front than have you waiting on a seat that is between production runs.

Due to the specialist nature of our services, we do ask that you please contact us in advance to book an appointment. We have multiple slots available each day including selected availability at the weekend.
