One Recaro direct fit sub-frame for the BMW E46 M3, 367.5; a passenger seat needs a second one.

The car it is for

The 2000 to 2006 M3 coupe and convertible. Recaro’s E46 frame fits the M3 as it does the ordinary E46, and this page is the M3 name on it so the owner finds it. One side.

Side mounts are separate

The seat does not bolt straight to the frame. Recaro side mounts go in between. The side mounts are a separate line on the order, and on a homologated Recaro they are Recaro’s, because the seat is homologated with them.

Direct fit

A car-specific base for a Recaro seat: it fixes through the factory seat mounting points and decides how low and how far back the seat sits.

Additional seat belt brackets: Each seat frame can be used for a variety of applications including road car reclining seats throuh to Motorsport FIA seats. Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Recaro frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Recaro seats are produced in batches for the UK market

We receive Recaro deliveries regularly and hold good stock of the popular models, so many go out quickly.

Demand for the bucket seats is worldwide and production runs to Recaro’s own schedule, so the less common models and trims can take considerably longer. Ask us and we will tell you where a specific seat stands.

Before you order

If you need a seat for a date, ring us first. We would rather give you an honest lead time up front than have you waiting on a seat that is between production runs.

Due to the specialist nature of our services, we do ask that you please contact us in advance to book an appointment. We have multiple slots available each day including selected availability at the weekend.
