Cobra headrest upholstery in leather and alcantara. Part number RS-H-L-A.
The combination most people end up choosing
Leather on the outer surfaces, alcantara through the centre. It is the specification you see on road going performance cars, and the split does real work.
Leather takes the rubbing at the edges and keeps its shape. Alcantara sits where your head does, where its grip and its lack of glare are worth having and where nothing is scuffing it.
Put either material everywhere and you lose half of that. All leather is slipperier and hotter in the sun; all alcantara wears at the edges where a hand catches it getting in and out.
What it costs you
Two materials means two cleaning routines. The leather wants feeding once or twice a year and the alcantara wants brushing rather than wiping. Neither is difficult, but they are not the same job.
The rest of the range
Also available in vinyl, vinyl and fabric, spacer fabric, leather and alcantara.
On headrests every material is the same price, so this combination costs no more here than plain vinyl does.
Made by Cobra in Berkshire. The centre armrest, door panels and rear bench are available in the same six materials, so a whole interior can be specified to match.
