A PCI Racing sliding sub frame for the BMW E63 6-Series, 2003 to 2010. Part number SM-E46-S1-E63.
The part number tells you something useful: this is derived from the E46 mount, which follows from the two cars sharing enough of their floor arrangement for one design to serve both. If you have seen this working in an E46, it is the same idea.
The slider
The seat moves fore and aft after installation. PCI’s S1 slider bolts to the base with four bolts where a conventional slider uses two, which they describe as twice as strong as two bolt mounting.
An E63 is a big, heavy car that is usually still used on the road, so the ability to move the seat is worth more than the small height saving an adjustable mount would give.
Construction
Laser cut and CNC formed from a single piece of 1/8 inch carbon steel, gloss black powder coat, grade 10.9 8mm hardware, with five and six point sub belt mounting locations built into the mount.
Fitment and ordering
Side mount, for a competition bucket, bolting to the factory seat mounting points so nothing is drilled and the original seats come out whole.
Handed, so choose driver or passenger side and order twice for a pair.
